Swabi, Oct 23 (KMS): Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Khan on Thursday urged the Women University Swabi students to play a role in highlighting Kashmir issue and Indian atrocities.

He said this during his visit Women’s University Swabi in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where he addressed ‘Kashmir Solidarity Seminar’ and participated in a Kashmir solidarity walk on the campus. During his visit, he exchanged views with the Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Shahana Urooj Kazmi about the academic activities and disciplines taught there. In his address the AJK president urged girl students to concentrate on acquiring modern education which could enable them to earn a livelihood with dignity and honour on the one hand and play their due role in the development and economic progress of the country, on the other. »

India extends ban on 4g internet service in IIOJK

Srinagar, October 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Muslim League has strongly condemned the surge in incidents of state terrorism and the genocide of Kashmiris by Indian troops in the territory.

The JKML at a meeting of its Advisory Council in Srinagar said that the Kashmiris reject the illegal actions taken by Modi government on and after August 05, 2019 in IIOJK. The meeting maintained that India had invaded the territory of Jammu and Kashmir on 27th October in 1947 but Kashmiris have never accepted this forcible occupation till date and continue their struggle to get rid of it. The JKML said that Indian authorities were subjecting the illegally detained party leaders, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Muhammad Yousuf Mir, Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi and Muhammad Rafiq Ganai to political vengeance. »

Abdul Samad Inqilabi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian troops continued to play with the lives of the people of Kashmir through state terrorism. Srinagar, October 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, thousands of people participated in ‘Khwaja Diggar’, a popular religious gathering, at the Naqshband Sahib Shrine in Srinagar.

Khwaja Diggar is held on the 3rd Rabbi-ul-Awwal every year in remembrance of the Sufi Saint, Hazrat Khwaja Syed Bha-u-Deen Naqsaband Sahib (RA).

The huge gathering was witnessed at the shrine as the devotees in thousands including men and women participated in the prayers. The devotees thronged the shrine to pay respect to the Sufi Saint, who left for the heavenly abode in the year 1674. »

Brussels, October 21 (KMS): The Chairman of Kashmir Council Europe (KCEU), Ali Raza Syed, has strongly condemned the sealing of the office of Kashmir Times, a leading daily of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, by the Indian authorities.

Kashmir Times owner, Anuradha Bhasin, in statement on social media said that without any reason and advance notice, the authorities on Monday sealed the office of the newspaper at Press Enclave in Srinagar.

Ali Raza Syed in a statement issued in Brussels while reacting over the anti-press move said, this shameful act is a severe violation of freedom of press and freedom of expression. He praised the owners of the IIOJK-based newspapers and their journalists who are engaged in revealing the facts about prevailing grim situation specially exposing the gross human right violations being perpetrated by Indian troops in the occupied territory. »
