Srinagar, December 22 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, political activists, civil society members and human rights defenders have called upon the international community to pay heed to the sufferings of the Kashmiri people at the hands of brutal Indian occupational forces’ personnel.

The activists on condition of hiding their identity fearing reprisal from Modi-led fascist Indian government in their media interviews said that global rights bodies have been documenting abuses committed by Indian troops in IIOJK. They cited two successive reports released by UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in 2018 and 2019 on HR violations in Kashmir and demanded legal action against the perpetrators of inhuman actions against innocent Kashmiri people. »

Srinagar, December 15 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, people are being put behind bars for no crime other than political beliefs.

An analytical report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, said that framing fake cases against Kashmiri people is mere frustration of Modi-led fascist Indian government, which is using National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) to break Hurriyat leadership’s resolve for right to self-determination. India is employing its probe agencies to malign Kashmiris’ just and principled struggle for freedom.

Islamabad, December 10 (KMS): A massive operation to serve Indian interests by targeting international institutions, through a systematic disinformation campaign against Pakistan and China has been uncovered by a EU based organization.

“The operation’s mission is to discredit nations in conflict with India in Asia, in particular Pakistan but also China to a lesser extent,” a study conducted by EU DisinfoLab, an independent NGO said. The operation was a follow up to a preliminary investigation published in 2019.

This network is active in Brussels and Geneva in producing and amplifying content to undermine – primarily – Pakistan. The operation codenamed “Indian Chronicles” resurrected dead media, dead think-tanks and NGOs. It even resurrected dead people, the report said. »

Islamabad, December 09 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops have intensified their killing spree in the territory to suppress the Kashmiris’ ongoing struggle for securing their inalienable right to self-determination.

An analytical report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, on International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime, said that Indian troops brutally killed three more youth in Tiken area of Pulwama district, today.

It said following Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government’s 5th August 2019 illegal action, fears of genocide in IIOJK have increased manifold. It maintained that even international experts have warned of impending danger of genocide in the occupied territory. »

Srinagar, December 01 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred fifteen Kashmiris during the last month of November.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, of those killed, one youth was martyred in custody and four in a fake encounter.

During the month, 97 youth were critically injured due to the use of brute force by Indian police and paramilitary personnel in the occupied territory while 31 people, mostly youth and activists, were arrested, several of them under black law, Public Safety Act. »

Srinagar, November 27 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP-led authorities repealed Roshni Act to render Muslim communities particularly living in Jammu landless.

The residents of IIOJK told Kashmir Media Service that the Roshni Act was abrogated because through it mostly Muslim communities got ownership rights in Hindu-majority Jammu division.

They said, earth is shrinking for Muslim communities of Gujjars and Bakarwals after scrapping of Roshni Act. They said since BJP’s ascent to power, nomadic Muslim communities of IIOJK have faced violent evictions and attacks.

The locals said that the communalized rhetoric around land rights had heightened insecurities among Muslims in the occupied territory and they were sensing another 1947-like massacre of the Muslim community. »

Absence of backchannel diplomacy: UK think-tank sees further heightening of Pak-India tensions

London, November 27 (KMS): The International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS) has said that there is a wide scope for misunderstanding and misperceptions between India and Pakistan in the absence of an official dialogue and backchannel diplomacy.

In it’s latest report on South Asia addressing issues in specific in Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Afghanistan, the IISS has said that any attack from either side would raise the risk of the conflict escalating into a new crisis and the situation “remained strained, and Kashmir a potential flashpoint” towards the end of 2020. »

The occupation authorities demolished scores of residential houses and other structures belonging to the Muslims including Gujjar and Bakarwal communities at Pahalgam in Islamabad and different area of Jammu. The other structures, destroyed by the authorities included huts and sheds and they all were in possession of Gujjar and Bakarwal communities for years together. »

Gets 2 lethal drones on lease from US firm for 1 year

New Delhi, November 26 (KMS): The Modi government, continuing with its nefarious designs to create a regional hegemony, has taken on lease a pair of one of the deadliest drones in the world from US company, General Atomics.

The agreement for one-year lease for the “predator” series drones has been signed directly with the company, Indian media reported quoting official sources. The Navy has got “Sea Guardians”, a variant used by the US Navy, under “emergency procurement”.

The drones have arrived at the Indian Naval Station INS Rajali, near Chennai. The process for getting 30 such drones in two variants – one for use over land and the other over sea – is underway, the sources said. India could deploy the same in Ladakh and over the Indian Ocean. The move came after the Defence Acquisition Procedure-2020 incorporated a new category to enable operation of assets without owning them. »

According to a report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, on the occasion of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Indian troops molested 11,224 women during the period. It maintained that the Kashmiri women have been the worst victims of the harrowing conflict, which rendered 22,923 women widowed since 1989. »
