Srinagar, October 23 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has deplored that extrajudicial killings and fake encounters by Indian troops have become a norm in the territory to suppress the Kashmiris’ just liberation struggle.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar maintained that Indian troops pick up innocent youth from their homes and kill them in staged encounters. He said that the recent extrajudicial killing of three labourers of Rajouri by Indian Army in Shopian district had again refreshed the memories of other fake encounters including Pathribal and Machil.

The spokesman said that Indian troops were killing the Kashmiri youth on daily basis to change the demography of the territory. He said the troops fearing huge participation of people in the funerals of the martyred youth do not even hand over their dead bodies to their families and secretly bury them in far off places. »

Srinagar, September 11 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the tourism sector considered to be the backbone of the territory’s economy, is in dire straits especially since Modi-led Indian govt abrogated the special status on August 5, 2019.

Less than 500 tourists have visited the Kashmir Valley since the occupation authorities lifted ban on tourism activities across IIOJK in October, last year. Pertinently, Indian government had banned all tourists from travelling to Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370. Though the ban was lifted after few months yet continued restrictions and severe communications blockade badly affected the tourism industry in the occupied territory. »

Islamabad, September 10 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, people belonging to different walks of life have sought urgent intervention of the UN to resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute to mitigate their sufferings.

Talking to Kashmir Media Service over phone from Srinagar, different people including Hurriyat leaders, political activists, human rights defenders, students and traders, wishing anonymity to avoid reprisal from the Indian authorities, said that the UN needed to wake up and fulfill its obligations towards the Kashmiris. They said that the Kashmir dispute should be discussed threadbare during the upcoming 75th summit of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) being held in New York from 15th to 30th of this month. »

Islamabad, September 08 (KMS): Top civil and military leadership in Pakistan has once again rejected India’s any unilateral moves on the Kashmir dispute, saying that human rights violation perpetrated by Modi-led fascist Indian government in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have increased manifold since August 5, last year.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan in a statement in Islamabad said that Indian government had unleashed a reign of terror and fear against innocent Kashmiris after repealing Kashmir-specific Article 370 in violation of the UN Charter on August 5, 2019.

The Prime Minister said that India’s provocations at the Line of Control were aimed at diverting the world’s attention from its atrocities in the occupied territory. »

Says Azad Kashmir is peaceful, while IIOJK facing brute force

Seoul (South Korea), September 07(KMS): Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, also known as one of the most beautiful valleys in the world, has long been suffering from grave human rights violation at the hands of Indian forces while reporting of the cases of violation remains not only weak but response of the international community has been very sluggish, said Seoul based English newspaper The Korea Times.

An article by one Rukhsana Shama published in one of the South Korea’s oldest English newspapers while drawing a comparison between Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Azad Kashmir says that Azad Kashmir has largely been peaceful from within, while Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir not only has an overwhelmingly large presence of Indian troops but has also been experiencing brutal use of force by over 700,000 Indian troops averaging one soldier for every 14 Kashmiris. »

Islamabad, August 28 (KMS): India is resorting to water terrorism to harm Pakistan financially and economically.

A report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, said India is violating all the international laws and treaties including construction of water-manipulating structures and controlled release of flood waters, which is a sheer violation of the Indus Water Treaty. It said that India always refused to fulfill its responsibility under the Advance Flood Information Agreement signed in 1989.

The report said that cunning India was violator of international laws/agreements and was leaving no stone unturned as RSS-backed Modi government was using even natural disasters as a weapon against Pakistan. Now insane India is using torrential water as a weapon to divert the world attention from the human rights abuses in IIOJK, it added. »
