Srinagar, July 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has denounced puppet authorities for imposing curfew in Srinagar, barring prayers in historic Srinagar Jamia Masjid for the sixth consecutive Friday and keeping the Mirwaiz under house detention for the past more than one and a half month.

The Hurriyat forum in a statement issued in Srinagar also condemned the slapping of draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), on a political activist, Atif Hassan, for his affiliation with the ongoing freedom movement and the shameless beating up of the mother and three sisters of a mujahid, Tauseef Ahmed, by Indian forces at Rampora in Kulgam. »

Srinagar, July 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has termed the continued detention of political leaders and activists as undemocratic, illegal and immoral and demanded their immediate release.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said the detainees have been lodged in far-flung areas and their detention was prolonged on one pretext or the other. »

Kolkata, July 29 (KMS): Indian police have arrested a Kashmiri youth staying in Kolkata for alleged anti-India post on his Facebook wall.

The youth, Arshad Ahmad, was staying at a guest house in south Kolkata’s Anwar Shah Road area and was arrested by the cops belonging to Lake Police Station. The police claimed that they took the action after local residents complained about Arshad’s anti-India posts on Facebook. »

Srinagar, July 29 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement is indigenous and has nothing to do with global organizations.

The leaders in a joint statement issued in Srinagar said, Indian secret agencies are desperate to malign the Kashmir freedom movement and, under a well-thought-out plan, devising policies to bring bad name to the freedom struggle in occupied Kashmir.

“Groups like ISIS and Al-Qaeda are non-existent in Jammu and Kashmir and there is no role for these groups within our movement which is local in nature and indigenous in character,” they said. »

Srinagar, July 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people staged forceful anti-India demonstrations, today, while Indian forces’ personnel used brute force on the demonstrators, injuring many of them.

Call for the demonstrations was given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to protest against the suspension of life sentences by a military court of five Indian army personnel involved in Machil fake encounter and persecution of pro-freedom leadership. Indian army personnel had lured three youth, Shahzad Ahmad Khan, Riyaz Ahmad Lone and Muhammad Shafi Lone to the higher reaches of Machil on the pretext of jobs and good money as porters and killed them in a staged encounter on 29th April 2010. »

Srinagar, July 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Agha Syed Hasan Al-Mosvi Al-Safvi has condemned the revoking of life sentence and granting bail to those army men responsible for Machil fake encounter.

Agha Syed Hasan Al-Mosvi Al-Safvi addressing a public gathering in Budgam said that such encouragement to guilty army men would have serious ramifications. He said, “It has become clear that army is encouraged for murdering Kashmiri people”. »

Srinagar, July 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities disallowed congregational Friday prayers at the Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, today, for the sixth consecutive week.

All gates of Jamia Masjid were locked by the Indian forces while all roads leading to the historic mosque were blocked with concertina wires.

The authorities also imposed curfew and other restrictions in Srinagar to prevent people from staging anti-India demonstrations. »
