Srinagar, December 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has strongly condemned the arrest of Hurriyat leaders, police raids on their residences and harassment of their family members.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the puppet authorities placed Hurriyat leaders Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai and Muhammad Ashraf Laya under house arrest while Indian police arrested and raided the residences of several other leaders including Bilal Siddiqi, Molvi Bashir Irfani, Muhammad Yasin Attai and Syed Imtiyaz Haider. »

Srinagar, December 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have imposed restrictions in Srinagar and Islamabad town to prevent the proposed rally and public gathering of the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) in Islamabad town, today.

The Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has called for a massive public gathering at Lal Chowk in Islamabad town against the stepped up Indian state terrorism in the occupied territory. »

London, December 15 (KMS): In London, the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Kashmir in the British Parliament heard testimony regarding the human rights situation of Indian occupied Kashmir.

Those who gave testimony included Dr Syed Inayatullah Andrabi, Shaikh Tajammul-ul-Islam, Raja Najabat Hussain, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry, Azmat Khan, Dr Farzana Shaikh and Sadia Mir. They said that Indian troops were perpetrating the worst type of human rights violations in the occupied territory. »

Entire Hurriyat leadership detained in IOK

Srinagar, December 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a massive march will be conducted, tomorrow, towards Islamabad town where a big public gathering will be held at Lal Chowk in the town.

Call for the march has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to highlight the miseries of the Kashmiri people at the hands of Indian occupation forces. The leaders in a joint statement issued in Srinagar deplored that the puppet authorities had put almost entire resistance leadership either under house arrest or in custody to stop the march. They asked the Indian rulers and their local stooges to shun their policies of coercion and allow the Hurriyat leadership to conduct political activities. The leaders urged India to realize the fact that it will never succeed to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle through military might. »

Srinagar, December 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the continued house arrest of the Mirwaiz and described his detention as the frustration of the authorities.

The Hurriyat forum at a meeting held in Srinagar said, the Mirwaiz has been prevented from his social, political and religious activities which is the worst kind of human rights violation. »

Jammu, December 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) has called for an immediate end to the killing of innocent people by Indian troops in the territory.

The JKPM) Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem, in a statement issued in Srinagar urged the world human rights organisations to take cognizance of the worsening human rights situation in the territory. He said notorious military operations launched by the Indian forces in Kashmir are taking a heavy toll on the civilians who are killed day in and day out in the length and breadth of the Kashmir Valley. »

Srinagar, December 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, illegally detained APHC leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori and the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party have paid glowing tributes to martyred Islamic scholar and former Chief of Hizbul Mujahideen, Shams-ul-Haq, on his 25th martyrdom anniversary.

Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, who is lodged at Kathua jail in Jammu, in a statement said that the Kashmiri people would continue the mission of their martyr till complete success. He also eulogized the sacrifices of liberation leader, Sofi Muhammad Akbar, for the freedom cause of Kashmir. »

Srinagar, December 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League has paid rich tributes to Abdul Khaliq Ganai alias Jamal Afgani on his 24th martyrdom anniversary, today.

Special prayers were offered for the martyr during a function at his native town in Bandipora district.

A prayers session led by party Chief Organizer Imtiaz Ahmad Shah was held in Srinagar. Others who participated in the session included Gulzar Ahmad Khanday, Arshad Aziz and Showkat Ahmad Dar. »
