Islamabad, October 05 (KMS): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman, Nafees Zakaria has said that Indian occupation forces continue to violate ceasefire on Line of Control (LOC) and deliberately target civilians.

In his weekly media briefing at the Foreign Office on Thursday he said yesterday, two civilians, including a child were killed and two were injured, including a woman, in AJK. »

Srinagar, October 5 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders; Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and Jahangir Ghani Butt have called for the settlement of Kashmir dispute through result-oriented talks among all stakeholders including the genuine leadership of Kashmiri people.

The leaders in their party meetings in Srinagar denounced the cordon and search operations and raids on the houses of people, resistance leaders and activists. They asked for settlement of the Kashmir dispute in the interest of lives of millions of people in South Asia. »

Srinagar, October 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi and her associate Fehmeeda Sofi have been shifted from Ambphalla jail in Jammu to central jail in Srinagar.

Aasiya Andrabi and Fehmeeda Sofi were booked under the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) in May this year and were lodged at Ambphalla jail in Jammu. The High Court of the occupied territory had quashed the PSA order against them on August 31. »

Srinagar, October 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a meeting of members of Anjuman-e-Auqaf of Srinagar Jamia Masjid was held at Mirwaiz Manzil, Rajouri Kadal.

The participants strongly condemned the authorities for continuously deploying police and paramilitary forces around the Jamia Masjid on Fridays under a well-planned conspiracy to prevent large gatherings and damage its centrality as the mosque is also a spiritual centre for the people of Kashmir. »

Srinagar, October 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat leaders have expressed concern over the vengeful attitude of authorities in Tihar jail against Kashmiri political prisoners, saying they are being subjected to mental agony and torture.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) General Secretary, Ghulam Nabi Sumji in a statement issued in Srinagar said that it was a serious violation of the UN Charter’s rights to prisoners. »

New Delhi, October 05 (KMS): The High Court Bar Association of occupied Kashmir has informed Indian Supreme Court that so-called accession of Jammu and Kashmir to India was mysterious and controversial, and was responsible for the going uprising in the territory.

The Bar Association in its affidavit submitted to the Supreme Court said, “The instrument of accession is mysterious and controversial. Every election is rigged. India and Pakistan have fought three wars on the issue… Jammu and Kashmir is in a troubled state for the past 70 years.”

Srinagar, October 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Human Rights Commission took serious note of braid-chopping incidents across the territory and directed police to submit compliance report within two weeks.

The commission directed the inspector general of police to submit updated status report on FIRs registered against the incidents and also file report regarding the investigation process. »

Srinagar, October 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL) has expressed concern over the plight of political leaders and demanded their immediate release.

The JKPFL spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the authorities had been depriving the detainees of basic rights and even medical treatment were not provided to them. He said that the detention of the detainees was being prolonged on one pretext or the other. »

Islamabad, October 04 (KMS): The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has appealed to the United Nations to condemn and block the attempts of the Indian government to change the demographic status of Jammu and Kashmir.

The OIC’s Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (OIC-IPHRC) has released a detailed report after the recent visit to Azad Jammu and Kashmir of its fact-finding delegation to assess the human rights situation in occupied Kashmir. The delegation was led by the IPHRC Chairperson, Med Kaggwa, and comprised its members Dr Rashid Al Balushi, Dr Raihanah Binti Abdullah, Ambassador Abdul Wahab, Dr Ergin Ergul, Prof Saleh Al Khathlan and Dr Oumar Abbou Abba. »
