Jammu, December 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a protest demonstration was held in Talab Khatikan area of Jammu against demolition of a madrassa and desecration of religious books at Gole Gujral by Jammu Development Authority, dominated by RSS-backed Hindu extremists.

The protesters on the occasion said that the move was a part of the hidden agenda of communal forces to harass the local Muslims. »

‘JRL to hold public meeting in Islamabad town on Dec15’

Srinagar, December 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that Kashmir is not a part of India and Indian leadership should avoid parroting about this.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “We time and again repeat that Indian leadership has made commitment with international community and with us.” He said that it was India which took the Kashmir dispute to the UN and promised before the World Body that the people of Jammu and Kashmir would be given the right to self-determination. He assured the Kashmiri people that one day they would achieve freedom from Indian bondage. »

Glowing tributes paid to Yawar Bashir, other martyrs

Srinagar, December 06 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations including Syed Ali Gilani, the forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Salvation Movement and Peoples Freedom League have paid rich tributes to Yawar Bashir and two other youth, martyred by Indian troops during a siege and search operation at Qazigund in Kulgam district.

The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani while telephonically addressing mourners in Hablish area of Kulgam district from Srinagar said, “Our youth lay their lives to end the age-old slavery of their people. They are putting a huge responsibility on our shoulders to honour these sacrifices and take the movement to its logical end.” »

Complete shutdown in Kulgam against killings

Srinagar, December 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funeral of a martyred youth, Yawar Bashir, in Hablish area of Kulgam district, today.

Yawar Bashir and two other youth were killed by the Indian troops during a violent operation at Bonigam in Qazigund area of the district, last night. Their bodies were recovered from the debris of a residential house blasted by the troops with Improvised Explosive Devices. »

New Delhi, December 05 (KMS): The family of illegally detained senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, has expressed serious concern over the move of the authorities of Delhi’s Tihar jail of shifting him to high risk ward of the prison.

Shabbir Shah’s wife, Dr Bilquees speaking to a Srinagar-based English daily over phone from New Delhi, said, “I met Shabbir Shah in the jail where his condition is very disturbing.” »

Srinagar, December 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the illegally detained President of Muslim Deeni Mahaz (MDM), Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo has said that the pro-India National Conference (NC) founder, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah, betrayed the exemplary sacrifices of Kashmiri people for the lust of power.

Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo in a statement issued from Srinagar Central Jail said that the power for which Sheikh Abdullah deceived his own people and pushed entire Sub Continent into perils of war was snatched from him first in 1953 and then completely in 1982. But what is astonishing, he added, is the fact that pro-India politicians haven’t learnt lessons from the failed life of Sheikh Abdullah. »

Srinagar, December 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has condemned the beating and detaining of Rohingya Muslims by extremist Hindus backed by Indian police in Jammu on the allegation of throwing a cow carcass near a police station.

The HCBA at a meeting in Srinagar denounced the harassment of innocent Rohingya Muslims and asked for stern punishment to those involved in beating. The victim Rohingya Muslims strongly denied the allegation and stated that they were innocent. »

Over 900 Kashmiri prisoners lodged in various jails

Srinagar, December 05 (KMS): The recent incident of thrashing of 18 detainees in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail has made the families of Kashmiri prisoners lodged in the jail worried about their safety.

Assabah Khan, the wife of a resistance leader, Farooq Ahmad Dar, who is lodged in Tihar jail told media in Srinagar, “We are extremely worried after the recent brutal assault on inmates in the jail.” She said that during a meeting with her husband at Tihar jail last week, she handed over a few blankets and warm clothes to him, but she came to know that Kashmiri prisoners were forced to sleep on floor and were denied all facilities including medical care.” Assabah Khan said the condition of all Kashmiri prisoners lodged in Tihar Jail is pathetic. »
