Srinagar, July 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has expressed serious concern over the escalation of tension between India and Pakistan on the Line of Control in Kashmir and has asked the leadership of both countries to desist from military adventurism.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said the consequences of tension between the two neighboring countries are directly borne by the people of Kashmir on both sides of the Line of Control. He urged New Delhi and Islamabad to put an end to the raging conflict in the region by addressing the 70 year-old Kashmir dispute. »

Srinagar, July 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a complete shutdown is being observed in Islamabad district, today, against the killing of three youth in fake encounter and an elderly man by Indian troops in Nowgam and Arwani areas of the district.

The youth identified as Muzaffar Hajam, Showkat Lohar and Naseer Ahmed were killed after police and army opened fire on their car at Watergam in Bulbul Nowgam on Monday night while an elderly man injured in army firing earlier in the day in Arwani area succumbed last night. »

Srinagar, July 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the family of Naseer Ahmad Butt, who was martyred by Indian troops at Nowgam in Islamabad district on late Monday night along with two other youth has refuted the Indian army’s claim that he was a mujahid and killed in an encounter.

Naseer’s family told media that he owned a vehicle and was travelling in it when troops opened fire and killed him along with two other youth. “We are not able to comprehend what happened last night in at Nowgam,” Arif Butt, Naseer’s elder brother, told media persons in Dialgam area of Islamabad district. »

Srinagar, July 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, in less than a month, Indian army has established two new camps in Shopian district, a move strongly resented by locals residents.

The newer installation has come up in Dhobipora area and it has been set up in a playfield – a move being resented by residents. Earlier, Army’s 62 Rashtriya Rifles set up a camp in a building of Public Health Engineering (PHE) department in Nagisharen village. »

Srinagar, July 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a 60-year old businessman, Abdul Ahad Ganie who was injured after Indian army men fired bullets on him has succumbed to his injuries.

The defenseless Abdul Ahad Ganie a resident of Hassanpora was critically injured on Monday when Indian troops fired bullets on him in Bijbehara and was admitted into Bone and Joint hospital in Srinagar. He was later shifted to Institute of Medical Science Soura in Srinagar where today he succumbed to his bullet injuries, eyewitness said. »
