Srinagar, October 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have launched cordon and search operations (CASOs) in two areas of Baramulla and Bandipore districts.

The troops have cordoned off the Kralhar area of Baramulla district, causing huge inconvenience to the people.

The troops have also laid a siege around Ajas area of Bandipora district.

Srinagar, October 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has urged the people to hold peaceful demonstrations after Friday prayers against incessant braid-chopping incidents.

The resistance leaders in a statement issued in Srinagar said that braid-chopping incidents were increasing and spreading across occupied Kashmir, leading to great insecurity and fear among the people. “It looks like another ploy to frustrate the resilient and unyielding people of Kashmir,” they added.

Srinagar, October 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has expressed serious concern over the continued detention of its Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, and re-arrest of seven party leaders and activists.

Seven leaders and activists of JKLF including Sheikh Abdur Rasheed, Bashir Ahmad, Muhammad Azeem Zargar, Basharat Ahmad Butt, Nazir Ahmad, Merajuddin and Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah were re-arrested after they were bailed out by the court. These people had been arrested on October 6 from Press Enclave in Srinagar during a peaceful protest against growing incidents of braid-chopping in the occupied territory. »

Srinagar, October 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have slapped the All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, with draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), for third time and shifted him from Sopore police station to Kathua Jail in Jammu.

Despite the release orders by the High Court of the territory, the authorities have slapped the 70-year-old Hurriyat leader with another PSA. »

Srinagar, October 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the students of Kashmir University staged forceful demonstrations, today, against the failure of the puppet administration to prevent braid-chopping incidents in the territory.

The Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had asked the students of the occupied territory to hold demonstrations, today, against the disgraceful incidents of chopping of braids of women particularly young girls. However, the puppet authorities announced the closure of schools across the Kashmir Valley to prevent the protests. In a latest tactic of state terrorism, the agents of Indian secret agencies use chemicals to make women unconscious and cut their braids. Locals say that the acts were aimed at creating a sense of insecurity and fear-psychosis among the womenfolk. »

Srinagar, October 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) has said that the authorities have been continuously denying medical facilities to its illegally detained Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, in jail.

The DeM General Secretary, Nahida Nasreen, in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “It is a well-knit plot to murder Aasiya Andrabi in custody. She was kept under house detention till April 26 and later booked under draconian, Public Safety Act (PSA) and was taken to a Jammu jail.” »
