Srinagar, June 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, vindicating the impunity enjoyed by Indian forces in Kashmir, the Human Rights Commission of the territory has dismissed the petition on awarding the Indian Army Major, Leetul Gogoi, who used a civilian as a human shield in April this year.

The Chairperson of the commission, Justice (Retd) Bilal Nazki while dismissing the petition said that the commission did not have the authority to interfere in decisions of Indian forces. »

Srinagar, June 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Gulzar Ahmad Wani, who was acquitted by a court in Uttar Pradesh in a case of blast on a train in 2001 reached his home in Tappar Bala, Baramulla district.

Hundreds of local residents thronged Gulzar Ahmad Wani’s place to congratulate the family.

“I have seen him growing in front of my eyes. His 16 years of illegal detention has devastated his family. He is a noble soul and one can never imagine him doing what he was accused of,” says Fatima, an elderly woman, who visited the family. »

Srinagar, June 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) has said that the puppet authorities have disrespected court’s order by not shifting party Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi and her associate, Fehmeeda Sofi from Jammu’s Amphalla jail to Srinagar.

The DeM General Secretary, Nahida Nasreen in a statement issued in Srinagar said that on June 4 the High Court of the territory issued orders for shifting Aasiya Andrabi and Fehmeeda Sofi from Amphalla jail Jammu to Srinagar. »

Srinagar, June 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, one person was injured after a firing incident took place in Islamabad district, today.

Unknown gunmen attacked two vehicles of Indian troops in Vessu area of the district. A civilian who was travelling in his car was injured in the cross firing between the troops and the attackers.

Soon after the attack, Indian police and troops cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to nab the assailants.

Geneva, June 10 (KMS): Kashmiri representative, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi met Ms Kate Gilmore, United Nations Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights, in Geneva and apprised her of Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.

Syed Faiz Naqshbandi told the UN official that Jammu and Kashmir was a UN-recognised disputed territory but occupied by India by use of force with massive human right abuses. Indian Government has banned 22 social web sites and Internet with the aim to hide its atrocities, he added. »

Srinagar, June 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops and police personnel are not sparing to subject to brute force even disabled persons in the territory.

Indian forces’ personnel beat two physically-challenged persons to pulp in Shopian.

Eyewitnesses told media men that youth held anti-India demonstrations near Tak Masjid Chowk and Bongam Chowk. “Two physically-challenged persons were basking near Bonbazar Chowk when a police patrolling party while chasing the protesters caught hold of them and beat them up ruthlessly,” they said.

“The forces personnel broke two teeth of a deaf and dumb youth,” the witnesses said, adding that he was rushed to a private clinic for treatment.

Srinagar, June 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred one more Kashmiri youth in Bandipora district, today, taking the number of killed youth in the territory to seven since yesterday.

The troops killed the youth during a military operation in Gurez area of the district, today.

The troops had killed six youth during a similar operation in Uri area of Baramulla district, last evening.
