Srinagar, April 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, rich tributes were paid to five people including a woman who were martyred in the firing of Indian forces on protesters in Handwara town in April 2016.

Forceful demonstrations had erupted in the town after an Indian soldier had attempted to molest a schoolgirl. Five people, Nayeem Ahmed Butt, Muhammad Iqbal, Raja Begum, Aasif Hussain and Jahangir Ahmed Wani were killed in the firing of the troops on the protesters. »

Srinagar, April 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Tasaduq Mufti, the so-called minister for tourism and brother of the puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, has denounced his own party for non-fulfilling its commitments.

Srinagar, April 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that the Jammu Bar Association with active support of members of extremist Hindu organizations were enforcing strike and taking out rallies in the Jammu region in favour of rapists and murderers of minor Aasifa Bano, but the puppet administration and police were acting as mute spectators.

Srinagar, April 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that by pushing the Kashmiris to the wall, the so-called rulers are forcing them to launch another mass agitation.

Srinagar, April 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, protests erupted in National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar, University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (UAST), Sopore, today, against the civilian killings by Indian troops in Kulgam district.

Although the authorities had ordered closure of all educational institutions to prevent protests, students residing in hostels took to the streets to mourn the killings. Pro-freedom and anti-India slogans were raised during the protests. »

Valley witnesses curfew, restrictions
Srinagar, April 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed, today, against the killing of four civilians and injuries to many in the indiscriminate firing by Indian troops on protesters in Khudwani area of Kulgam district, yesterday.

Call for the strike was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership. All shops and business establishments were closed while traffic was off the road. The strike hit as far area as Banihal town of Ramban district in Jammu region. Four civilians, Sarjeel Ahmad, Bilal Ahmad, Fazil Ilahi and Aijaz Ahmad were killed by the troops at Khudwani in Kulgam district. »

Srinagar, April 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities have shifted the illegally detained ailing senior Hurriyat leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, from Jammu to Baramulla police station.

Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori was arrested from the graveyard of Sopore town on February 15, last year, when he had gone there to pay tributes to noted freedom leader, Ghulam Mohammad Bulla. His death in custody is said to be the first custodial killing in Kashmir. »
