Srinagar, November 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has strongly denounced the illegal detention of its Acting Chairman, Muhammad Yousuf Mir, despite court orders for his release.

A JKML spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the court had acquitted Muhammad Yousuf Mir in various cases registered against him in Shopian Police Station. However, he said that the puppet authorities booked the party leader on frivolous charges again and again. »

Srinagar, November 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police have excavated an 18-year-old case to invoke the draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) 36th time against senior APHC leader, Masarrat Aalam Butt.

The fresh detention order mentions the charges under a false case registered against Masarrat Aalam Butt in 1999 and 2000. The police had sent the charges in a dossier to District Commissioner Kupwara on November 13 and he signed a fresh PSA detention order the next day. »

Srinagar, November 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Human Rights Commission has sought a detailed report from the puppet administration regarding the plight of Kashmiri prisoners languishing in different prisons including New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail.

Taking cognizance of a petition filed by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, the commission directed the director general of police (prisons) to submit the report about the plight of the Kashmiri prisoners lodged in different jails of the occupied territory and India. The commission also asked its own member, who had visited the jails in Jammu region, to submit a report within two weeks. »

Srinagar, November 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Gujjar Bakarwal Islahi Committee has said that Bharatiya Janata Party is harassing Gujjars and demolishing their colonies under a well-hatched plan in Jammu region.

Addressing a press conference in Jammu, Gujjar Bakarwal Islahi Committee Chairman, Chaudhry Akhtar Hussain said that Gujjars were being targeted particularly after the inception of PDP-BJP regime in the occupied territory. He said that around 20 villages of Gujjars had been demolished in Jammu since this regime came into power, while a youth, Muhammad Yaqoob, was shot dead by a police officer in the region. »

Srinagar, November 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court has directed the puppet administration to inform it within two weeks about the investigation of the case against an Indian Army Major Leetul Gogoi in a human shield incident.

The bench of Justice M K Hanjura granted two week time to the puppet authorities to file the status report. »

Srinagar, November 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred three more Kashmiri youth in Kupwara district, today.

The troops killed the youth during a siege and search operation at Magam in Handwara area of the district. The operation was going on when reports last came in.

With these fresh killings, the number of the youth martyred by Indian troops during last five days has reached eleven. »

Srinagar, November 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Indian authorities have barred senior APHC leader and President of Anjuman Shari Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, from attending an annual Islamic Conference in Iran by not renewing his passport.

A spokesman of Anjuman Shari Shian in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi had received an invitation from the Government of Iran to participate in annual International Religious Awareness Conference. However, he said that the party chief would not be able to attend the event as the Indian government had not renewed his passport. »

Srinagar, November 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said that India cannot suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom movement, which has consumed six hundred thousand lives since 1947 till date.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that the so-called accession of Jammu and Kashmir with India had no constitutional, legal, political and moral justification and it was based on a total fraud. He maintained that the people of Kashmir would continue their struggle till the last Indian army man vacated Jammu and Kashmir. Syed Ali Gilani emphasized that India should give up its intransigence and provide the Kashmiri people an opportunity to decide their fate through a plebiscite. »
