Jammu, September 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, after almost a year, a woman from Doda district of Chanab Valley has complained that an unidentified lady chopped off her braid in mysterious circumstances.

A woman, Manju Devi (31) wife of Kanchi Lal and a resident of Jattar village of Doda, said that an unknown woman entered her room while she was busy in painting. She said that the woman sprayed something and after few seconds she fell unconscious and when she woke up, she found her braid chopped. »

Srinagar, September 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference led by APHC General Secretary, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, visited the residences of martyred youth in Kulgam and Islamabad to express solidarity with their family members.

Addressing mourners at Fatehpora and Aanchdora, the APHC leaders while paying tributes to the martyrs urged the Kashmiri people to completely boycott the upcoming election drama to safeguard the sacrifices of the martyrs. Other members of the delegation were Yasmeen Raja, Ghazi Manzoor, Arshad Ahmed, Aashiq Hussain and Sajjad Ahmed. »

Srinagar, September 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, several Muharram processions were taken out in different parts of the territory to pay rich tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and other martyrs of Karbala.

Thousands of mourners joined the processions in Bemina, Zorigund, Sonapa, Beerwah, Mir Behri, Kachi Kani, Baghwanpora, Mughal Mohalla, Zadibal, Shalimar, Cheng Mohalla, Chalpora, Gulshan Bagh, Malapora, Nowgam and other areas.

Addressing the mourners, Anjuman Sharie Shian President, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, said that Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) sacrificed his life for the glory of Islam. He condemned the killings in Kashmir and said that killing people and burning their properties by the Indian troops were not going to serve any purpose. He said Kashmir is a political issue that needs to be resolved through political means at the earliest. »

JRL urges people to boycott local bodies, Panchayat elections

Srinagar, September 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that the so-called elections held by India in the territory cannot be a substitute to the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

The resistance leaders in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the election drama enacted by India as a political gimmick to hoodwink the international community that the people of Kashmir enjoyed the Indian democracy freely. They reiterated their appeal to the Kashmiri people to completely boycott the upcoming municipal and local bodies elections in the territory. »

Srinagar, September 18 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a soldier of Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was injured in an attack in Pulwama district, today.

According to Kashmir Media Service, unidentified persons lobbed a grenade and fired a volley of bullets towards a joint camp of CRPF and special operations group (SOG) of Indian police in Newa area of the district.

A CRPF soldier was wounded after being hit by a bullet. He was shifted to Indian Army’s Badamibagh cantonment hospital in Srinagar for treatment.

Immediately after the attack, Indian troops and police personnel cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to nab the attackers »

Sting operation exposes India’s evil designs

Srinagar, September 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, normal life was crippled due to complete shutdown across the Kashmir Valley and parts of Jammu region against the killing of six youth by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Kulgam district on Saturday.

All shops, business establishments and educational institutions were closed while traffic was off the road in the Valley and Banihal area of Ramban district in the Jammu region. Thin attendance was recorded in government offices. The train services continued to remain suspended for the third consecutive day, today. Call for the strike was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

Meanwhile, the Joint Resistance Leadership in a statement issued in Srinagar sought the intervention by the United Nations and other international human rights organizations to safeguard life, honour and dignity of pro-freedom leaders, threatened by Indian intelligence agencies and paramilitary forces. The JRL said that a sting operation has been launched by the Indian agencies to malign pro-freedom leaders. »
