Islamabad, June 12 (KMS): Hurriyet AJK leaders held a protest demonstration in Islamabad against the Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.

The leaders strongly condemned the continued illegal detention and house arrest of Hurriyet leaders and described it as the worst kind of human rights violation and frustration of the authorities.

They urged the international community to take notice of Indian atrocities in the occupied territory and put pressure on India to resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute according to the will of Kashmiri people. »

Srinagar, June 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Working President of National Conference, Omar Abdullah denounced the anti-student and anti-youth wave of repression in the Valley.

Omar Abdullah addressing a function in Srinagar said that the use of brute force and oppressive tactics against protesting students wouldn’t help in restoring peace but would add to the already alarming level of alienation on the ground. »

Srinagar, June 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man was crushed to death by his own vehicle on Jammu-Srinagar highway at Nachilana near Ramsoo on Monday.

The deceased, identified as Shaik Babu, fell out of his vehicle and was crushed to death. The CRPF bus was on way to Kashmir valley as part of a convoy. »

Srinagar, June 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the students of Degree College Shopian, today, boycotted the classes to protest against the killing of young student Aadil Farooq Magray at the hands Indian forces, last week.

The students amid massive sloganeering started tried to come out of the college premises for a march, but police and paramilitary forces resorted to massive teargas shelling on the protesting students. The students resisted and pelted stones on the forces’ personnel. »

Srinagar, June 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, today, reached Ganawpora in Shopian and paid tributes to youth, Aadil Farooq, who was recently martyred by India forces.

Srinagar, June 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a protest demonstration was held at Chhatabal in Srinagar against the raids and crackdowns by Indian forces in the territory.

The protest was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Ittehadul Muslmeen. While addressing the protesters, Hurriyet leader Masroor Abbas Ansari said that many youth had been killed during the military operations. He said that recent killing of 19-year-old student, Aadil Farooq, in Shopian was the proof that Indian forces had a free licence to kill innocent Kashmiris. He also condemned the raids of India’s National Investigation Agency on the houses of Hurriyet leaders and members of business community. »

Srinagar, June 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, on the 7th martyrdom anniversary of teenager Tufail Matoo, who was killed by Indian police, his father has pledged to continue their fight for justice.

Tufail Mattoo, a student of 12th class, was killed after being hit by a teargas shell fired by Indian police near Ghani Memorial Stadium in Srinagar in 2010 when he was returning home from tuition. »

Srinagar, June 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed serious concern over the plight of political prisoners lodged in various jails and demanded their immediate release.

The forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Scores of Kashmiri prisoners continue to languish in various prisons across India and ironically despite court orders regarding their release, they continue to remain in prisons.

These prisoners, he said, are also being deprived of the basic facilities prescribed in the jail manuals thereby making their lives difficult inside the four walls of prisons at a time when temperatures across India are soaring. »

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leaders, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik have said that police authorities are subjecting civilians to worst treatment and their fundamental rights are being disregarded and trampled.

They in a joint statement on Sunday criticized the authorities for their rude and heartless approach against civilians and said that police were unnecessarily harassing and intimidating civilians on one pretext or the other. »

Srinagar, June 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference General Secretary, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, has urged the people to apprise the Amarnath Yatris about the reality of freedom struggle of Kashmir while continuing with the old tradition of providing best hospitality to pilgrims.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Amarnath Yatris are our guests who are unaware of the reality of this disputed territory and are fed with misinformation by the propaganda of Indian media against Kashmir.” »
