Srinagar, September 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested five persons under sedition charge for allegedly raising anti-India slogans during a protest demonstration at Mendhar in Poonch district.

The SSP of Poonch, Rajiv Pandey while talking to media men confirmed that “An FIR under sections 124-A (sedition) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) has been registered at the Mendhar police station against the protesters who raised slogans.” “All other identified accused would be apprehended soon,” the SSP said. »

Srinagar, September 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a small girl missing for past 10 days was found dead in a forest area in Uri tehsil of Baramulla district on Sunday, police said.

An official said that Muskan Jan (9), went missing from her home in Boniyar Uri on August 23.

Her body was spotted in the Trikanjan forests on Sunday morning, said the official, adding a police team has been deputed to the area.

Indian top court lacks power to hear Article 35A case: Expert

Srinagar, September 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a book authored by a former Chief Justice of India reveals that Article 35A flows from an agreement in 1954 between India and Pakistan, which has led some legal experts to question Supreme Court’s jurisdiction to hear petitions seeking abrogation of this provision.

Srinagar, September 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a report compiled by International Forum for Justice and Human Rights (IFJHR) made a mention of the fateful day of August 31, 2017, when two friends and neighbours got separated in a very painful manner in Diver area of Lolab in northern district of Kupwara in Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Pahari speaking Manzoor Ahmed Khan and Nasrullah Khan of Diver, Lolab saw their fate turning towards them in a very gory manner. Indian  army man killed two others injured in an attack

Indian police arrest journalist in Srinagar

Srinagar, September 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred thirty four Kashmiris including a woman during the last month of August. Two of those martyred were killed in a fake encounter.

According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today, the killings in the month rendered two women widowed and six children orphaned. During the month, four hundred eighty three people were critically injured due to the use of brute force including firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells by the Indian troops, paramilitary and police personnel on peaceful protesters in the occupied territory. As many as one hundred ninety six Hurriyet leaders, activists and youth were arrested during house raids and crackdown operations. The troops also destroyed or damaged one hundred forty houses and disgraced five women during cordon and search operations in the month. »

Srinagar, September 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police have arrested a journalist, Asif Sultan, in Srinagar.

Muhammad Sultan, the father of Asif Sultan, told media that the police arrested his son from his home in the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. “They took him, searched his room, his books, took his laptop and phone,” he added.

Asif Sultan is an assistant editor with monthly magazine, Kashmir Narrator. »

Srinagar, September 01 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian policeman was arrested for house trespassing and attempting to molest a woman in Baramulla district.

The policeman was found in suspicious circumstances in a house in Qazi Hamam area of Baramulla, last night. The cop is working in the Armed Police as Selection grade constable and was handed over to the police by the locals of the area.
