Rallies commemorating Burhan Wani’s martyrdom anni held in AJK districts
Kotli: Rallies commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Wani and his associates were held in Gulpur area of Kotli and Athmuqam area of Neelum in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in Gulpur, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Movement, the rally paid tribute to Shaheed Burhan Wani and his comrades. Led by Vice Chairman Qazi Imran and Sardar Haji Arif of the Muhajirin Ittehad Forum, participants from diverse backgrounds reaffirmed their commitment to Kashmiris’ freedom struggle.
Addressing the rally, speakers vowed to uphold the mission of their martyrs until the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir from Indian occupation. They condemned India’s repression in the occupied territory and called on the global community to support Kashmiris in their quest for freedom and justice. Among the speakers were prominent figures including Khwaja Ayaz, Raja Aftab Arif, Hakim Muhammad Hafeez, Ejaz Mir, Raja Faheem, Dr. Muzammil Zaidi, and Saad Bashir.
Meanwhile, in Athmuqam, the headquarters of Neelum district of AJK, Jammu Kashmir Men’s League organized a protest rally to pay homage to Burhan Wani and his associates. Participants carried banners bearing images of Burhan Wani and voiced slogans advocating freedom from Indian yoke and honoring the martyrs, while denouncing Indian actions.
