BSF inspector molests minor girl in Hoshiarpur, Punjab
Hoshiarpur: An Indian paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) officer molested a 7-year-old girl in Punjab state.
According to Kashmir Media Service, BSF Inspector Ghulam Mutanja, posted at the admin block of the Border Security Force (BSF) Subsidiary Training Centre at Kharkan, allegedly raped the minor in Hoshiarpur city. The inspector, posted at the Subsidiary Training Centre (STC), Border Security Force (BSF), has been booked on charges of raping a 7-year-old girl, police said.
The case was registered based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother. The child’s mother allegedly caught the officer in the act of rape within the training centre premises, police said. When she heard her child’s cries coming from a nearby spot with parked vehicles, she rushed to find the inspector raping her daughter, police said.
Mutanja fled when he saw the mother, they said. Police said the victim told her mother that the officer approached her while she was playing and asked her to come with him on some pretext. When she refused, he allegedly took her to a spot near parked vehicles, they said.
Hoshiarpur Deputy Superintendent of Police (City) Amarnath said an investigation is underway, and the accused will be arrested soon.
