Mehbooba questions authorities’ achievements in IIOJK since Article 370 abrogation
Srinagar: The President of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mehbooba Mufti, has questioned the achievements of the authorities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehbooba Mufti addressing party workers in Srinagar said the authorities bifurcated IIOJK, resulting in hardships for the people of the territory.
“What have they achieved in these five years? The people of Ladakh are suffering, so are the people of Jammu. Jammu used to be the hub of the economy, but today they are suffering, let alone the people of Kashmir, who feel suffocated,” she said.
She said the Government’s achievement over the last five years is that the people of North Kashmir, during the recently held Parliamentary elections, looked the other way and voted in favor of self-determination.
She said since the abrogation of Article 370, the authorities have used black laws like Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and Public Safety Act (PSA) against people.
