BJP’s Kashmir policy neither respects Kashmiriyat nor Jamhuriyat: Kharge
New Delhi: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has stated that the BJP’s policy on occupied Jammu and Kashmir including Ladakh fails to respect “Kashmiriyat” (Kashmiri culture) and uphold “Jamhuriyat” (democracy).
According to Kashmir Media Service, Kharge asserted that the Modi government’s claims of integrating Jammu and Kashmir, boosting economic development, and preventing freedom movement have not materialized. Instead, the territory has witnessed 683 fatal attacks since 2019, resulting in the loss of 258 lives including Indian troops.
He also highlighted the vacant government department posts, high unemployment rates, and unfulfilled investments.
