PM Shahbaz Sharif’s UN speech genuine reflection of Kashmiris’ aspirations: Jailed APHC leadership

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the illegally detained leadership of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has lauded Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif’s address at the UN General Assembly, describing it as a true reflection of Kashmiri sentiments.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the incarcerated Chairman of APHC Masarrat Alam Butt, along with detained senior Hurriyat leaders Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Molvi Bashir Irfani issued messages from jails, emphasizing that the Prime Minister’s speech resonated profoundly with the emotions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. They noted that Pakistan has consistently raised the Kashmir issue on international platforms and is making significant political and diplomatic efforts to advocate for a swift resolution of the conflict.

The jailed leaders remarked that Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmir cause has always been a source of encouragement for Kashmiris engaged in the struggle against illegal Indian occupation. They expressed deep gratitude to the Prime Minister for representing Kashmiri sentiments on such a prominent global stage. They expressed optimism that Pakistan will continue to provide moral, political, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people until they achieve their cherished goal of freedom from India’s illegal occupation.

They urged the United Nations to take serious note of India’s unrealistic approach and obstinacy regarding the Kashmir dispute, calling for pressure on Indian leadership to resolve the matter in accordance with Security Council resolutions.

Meanwhile, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Convener of the APHC-AJK, along with senior Hurriyat leaders including Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Mahmood Ahmad Saghar, and Altaf Hussain Wani, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for highlighting the plight of the Kashmiri and Palestinian people during his address at the UN General Assembly. They praised the Prime Minister for winning the hearts of Muslims worldwide through his passionate advocacy for the rights of both Kashmiris and Palestinians. The leaders emphasized that the Prime Minister’s speech resonated deeply with the aspirations of oppressed nations in both regions. They commended his bold stance in effectively exposing India’s settler colonial policies in Kashmir. Furthermore, they acknowledged that Pakistan’s unwavering support for resolving the Kashmir dispute continues to inspire the Kashmiri people in their struggle for justice and self-determination.

Other APHC-AJK leaders, including General Secretary Advocate Pervez Ahmed, Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmad Butt, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Mir Tahir Masood, Shamim Shawl, Altaf Ahmad Butt and Uzair Ahmad Ghazali and others, also lauded the Prime Minister’s speech, calling it both courageous and compelling.
