BJP-RSS nexus seeks to convert India into a formal Hindu state: DFP

Sees genocide in IIOJK, India as a result of Modi’s communal policies

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party while strongly condemning the blasphemous remarks against Prophet Mohammed (SAW) by a Hindu fanatic, Yati Narsinghanand, said that the BJP-RSS nexus wants to convert India into a formal Hindu state.

According to Kashmir Media Service, DFP spokesman advocate Arshad Iqbal in a statement issued in Srinagar while urging Kashmiri Muslims to hold peaceful protests to express their resentment against this cowardly act sought a stern action against the Narsinghanand and others involved in the blasphemous act.

He termed Narsinghanand’s objectionable remarks as a wicked attempt to hurt the sentiments of the Muslims and added that the derogatory speech reflects Islamophobia and growing hatred against the Muslims in the Indian society.

“The BJP-RSS nexus seeks to convert India into a formal Hindu state through retaining power by stoking communal hatred,” he added.

While communal violence has gained traction in the Indian society, he said that the hate crimes and hate speeches against the country’s Muslim minority by members of the extremist Hindus occurred in greater frequency since Narendra Modi, leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), came to power in 2014.

These communal policies, he said, have brought Muslims to the brink of genocide in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and India.
