Two Indian soldiers killed in shell blast in Maharashtra

Mumbai: Two Indian army soldiers were killed in a shell explosion in Maharashtra state.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred at the Artillery Centre in Nashik district while a team of Agniveers was conducting live-fire training with an Indian field gun. The explosion claimed the lives of Agniveers Gohil Vishwaraj Singh (20) and Saifat Shit (21).

In response to the incident, a case of accidental death has been registered with the Deolali Camp police, following a report filed by Havildar Ajit Kumar. An investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding this event.

Indian officials confirmed that the explosion happened on Thursday afternoon in the Nashik Road area, raising concerns about safety protocols during training exercises.
