IIOJK people reject Modi’s August 2019 decisions: Mehbooba Mufti
Srinagar: Mehbooba Mufti, president of the People’s Democratic Party, expressed optimism that the new administration in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) will pass a resolution condemning New Delhi’s August 2019 decisions, which revoked Article 370 and divided the region into two Union Territories.
According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Mufti stated that the people of IIOJK have finally received their administration after enduring significant hardships since 2019.
“We hope this new government will heal the wounds of the past,” the PDP leader remarked. She added, “We expect the government to pass a resolution against the August 5, 2019 decisions, as the people of J&K do not accept them.”
Mufti also expressed hope that the IIOJK administration will actively address critical issues such as unemployment, drug addiction, and electricity shortages.
