New Delhi becomes most polluted city in world on Dewali

New Delhi: In India, the capital New Delhi became the most polluted city in the world due to fireworks on the occasion of Diwali.

According to Kashmir Media Service, despite the ban in New Delhi, people used fireworks on a large scale during Diwali, which increased the air pollution to a large extent.

The air quality index was recorded up to 348, which made the Indian capital, New Delhi, the most polluted city in the world.

Due to the decrease in air quality in Delhi, the city was covered in smog and citizens tried to avoid pollution by wearing masks.

In northern India, the air quality has further decreased due to the burning of crop residues in the fields. Fireworks during Delhi’s festival worsen air pollution levels in India every year, provincial governments have decided to ban the use of fireworks during Diwali and winter.
