APHC-AJK condemns intensified Indian state terrorism in IIOJK

Islamabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) Chapter has strongly condemned the escalation of Indian state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and urged the United Nations to pressure India for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi and senior leaders Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Mahmood Ahmad Saghar, and Syed Yousuf Naseem in their statements stated that Indian forces have intensified their siege and search operations, door-to-door raids, destruction of property, and arbitrary arrests of innocent youth in the occupied territory.

They noted that the Modi government is attempting to deceive the international community by portraying a false narrative of “normalcy” in IIOJK. However, despite brutalities, the leaders affirmed that the Kashmiri people remain steadfast in their resolve to pursue the sacred mission of their martyrs to its logical conclusion.

The APHC leaders called on the United Nations to fulfill its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with its own resolutions to bring lasting peace to the region.

Meanwhile, Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, appealed to international human rights organizations to press for the immediate release of Kashmiri detainees held in Indian jails.

In a statement from Muzaffarabad, he urged Amnesty International, Asia Watch, Human Rights Watch, the UN Human Rights Committee, the International Rescue Committee, and the European Union to play their role in securing the release of Kashmiri detainees.

Uzair Ghazali further announced that an awareness campaign, including a photo exhibition titled “Free Kashmiri Prisoners,” will be launched to shed light on the plight of these detainees and advocate for their release.
