Nine injured after Hindu men assault Muslim family in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: Nine persons, including women and children, were injured when a Muslim family was brutally attacked by Hindu men inside their home in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred in the town of Echoli, Barabanki district, where a poor Muslim family was violently attacked. Two women, Masrat Jahan and Noor Bano, are said to be in critical condition.

The victims stated that the attack was carried out by Ram Awdesh, Puttan Maharaj, and their four sons, who are known to be influential figures in the area. The assailants barged into the house over a minor dispute and mercilessly beat the entire family.

“The brutality we suffered is unimaginable. They showed no mercy, even towards women and children,” said a distraught family member. “Masrat Jahan and Noor Bano were severely injured, and their condition is worsening.”

Despite the family’s immediate plea for help, the response from law enforcement has been disappointing. “We approached the police right after the incident, but no strict action has been taken so far,” stated another relative. The inaction has raised serious concerns among locals, who believe the influence of the accused is shielding them from consequences.

Local Muslim leaders have also spoken out against the attack. “This is not just an attack on one family, but a message to the entire community that we are vulnerable. We demand immediate and strict action against the culprits,” said Mohammad Salim, a local activist.

Relatives of the victims are devastated and fear for their safety. “We have lost faith in the system. If this can happen to us today, who will be next?” asked a grieving cousin of Masrat Jahan.
