Amarnath pilgrim dies after falling unconscious in Ganderbal

Over a dozen injured in road accidents across IOJK

Srinagar: A 42-year-old Amarnath Yatra pilgrim died after falling unconscious in the Domail base camp in Ganderbal district of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased has been identified as Mukesh Chuhan, a resident of Indore. Health officials said that he suddenly lost consciousness inside a washroom and was immediately shifted to the Base Hospital Baltal for medical attention. Doctors at the facility, however, declared him dead.

Meanwhile, over a dozen passengers were injured when a bus they were travelling in veered off the road near Jhajjar Kotli area of Jammu. Locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu. Officials said several of the injured are in critical condition.

In a separate accident in Ganderbal district, a woman was critically injured in a road accident along the Sonamarg highway.
