Indian troops launch cordon and search operation in Poonch
Jammu: Indian troops launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in the Poonch district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), triggering tension in the area.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the operation began on Monday morning in the Balakote area, where troops fired several rounds of heavy ammunition following what was described as “suspicious movement.”
An Indian Army official claimed that the action was initiated after detecting unusual activity in the region. Additional reinforcements have since been deployed to support the ongoing operation.
As of now, the operation is still underway, and further details are awaited.
