Communication breakdown amid flooding adds to Kashmiris’ miseries
Srinagar: A breakdown in telecommunication services on Wednesday has worsened the plight of residents in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, as the territory battles flooding caused by continued heavy rainfall.
According to Kashmir Media Service, both mobile and internet services have gone down again, disrupting communication across the territory. This follows last week’s widespread network outages due to extensive damage to optical fibre cables at multiple locations, particularly in the Jammu region, which has been severely affected by the torrential downpours.
The ongoing communication blackout has hampered emergency response efforts and sparked widespread panic among residents struggling with the worsening weather conditions.
