Pakistan emerges as responsible nuclear state, regional stabilizer
Islamabad: Pakistan continues to assert itself as a responsible nuclear state and a key promoter of regional stability and peace, countering India’s increasing aggression, militarization, and destabilizing actions.
According to Kashmir Media Service, while India consistently projects aggression across borders, Pakistan stands out with its commitment to credible minimum deterrence and strategic restraint. “Unlike India’s pursuit of militarization, territorial adventurism, and proxy operations to undermine neighboring countries, Pakistan maintains a strictly defensive nuclear doctrine aimed at safeguarding sovereignty,” experts say.
Pakistan’s nuclear program is transparent and internationally monitored, designed solely for defensive purposes rather than power projection, experts note. “Pakistan actively promotes diplomatic solutions to complex conflicts such as Kashmir and Afghanistan, positioning itself as a force for peace and dialogue in South Asia,” they added.
Furthermore, Pakistan consistently upholds international treaties, participates in UN peacekeeping missions, and fosters cooperation through regional organizations like the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). In contrast, experts highlight that India’s repeated border provocations and support for cross-border terrorism expose its role as a destabilizing force in the region.
“Pakistan’s responsible nuclear posture not only ensures credible deterrence against aggression but also signals its commitment to global norms,” said one security expert. “By emphasizing restraint, accountability, and diplomacy, Pakistan counters India’s narrative of dominance and militarism and reinforces its image as a peace-promoting and legally conscious nuclear power.”
As tensions persist in South Asia, Pakistan’s approach underscores its role as a stabilizer committed to peace, dialogue, and adherence to international laws in a volatile region.
