Islamabad: India’s lawfare strategy is designed to entrench its illegal occupation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Modi regime manipulates legal instruments to distort and redefine the long-pending Kashmir dispute.

August 5, 2019 move marked a new chapter of repression in Kashmir’s history when the Modi regime repealed the special status of the occupied territory and India’s judiciary acted as a rubber stamp, endorsing the Modi regime’s post-2019 illegal measures.

New laws imposed since August 2019 are meant to consolidate New Delhi’s illegal control over Jammu and Kashmir.

Legal changes have opened the door for non-Kashmiri Hindus to claim domicile and land in IIOJK.

The Modi regime’s every new diktat seeks to erode Kashmiri Muslims’ culture, language, and religious identity and its regulations deliberately target the political and economic strength of Kashmiri Muslims.

India is systematically advancing a settler-colonial project in the occupied territory. but despite Delhi’s illegal moves, Kashmir remains an internationally recognized disputed territory.
