Hundreds attend funeral of Parvez Shah’s son Farah-ur-Rehman in Islamabad

Islamabad: The funeral prayer for Farah-ur-Rehman, the 21-year-old son of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter General Secretary Advocate Parvez Ahmed Shah, was held at the ground of Jamia Masjid, CBR Town, in Islamabad.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Farah-ur-Rehman, a final-year engineering student at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, succumbed to injuries sustained in a recent traffic accident. He passed away earlier today at a hospital in Rawalpindi.

The funeral prayer was led by APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi and was attended by a large number of Kashmiri leaders, political activists, and people from different walks of life. On the occasion, Ghulam Muhammad Safi prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul a high rank in Jannah.

Farah-ur-Rehman was laid to rest in a graveyard near the grave of his grandfather, the late senior APHC-AJK leader Advocate Mushtaq Ahmed Wani, in Islamabad.

Meanwhile, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in Srinagar, along with APHC-AJK leaders in Islamabad and AJK, in their separate statements, expressed profound grief and sorrow over the untimely demise.

They extended heartfelt condolences and deep sympathy to the bereaved family, praying for the highest place in Paradise for the departed soul, and for patience and strength to the family in this difficult hour.
