Narendra Modi a modern day “Ravan”, says Congress leader

New Delhi: Congress leader Aditya Raj has sharply criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance, particularly his economic policies, calling him the “Ravan” (the ten-headed demon king) of the modern era.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Aditya Raj said in a statement released on “X” that Modi has weakened India’s manufacturing sector and increased the country’s dependence on imports. “Narendra Modi represents the modern-day Ravana,” he said, adding just as Ravan’s golden palace burned upon entry, Modi will eventually face the consequences of his actions. Aditya Raj noted that Modi’s policies today have weakened India’s production capabilities and deepened reliance on China.

Commenting on the postage stamp and coin issued by PM Modi during the centenary celebrations of the RSS, Aditya Raj said that those in power today act arbitrarily, but the day Congress returns to power, these stamps and coins will be revoked. He further said that the RSS was originally founded with a bias against Dalits and other marginalized communities.

It may be recalled that Ravan is the central figure in the Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’, depicted as the king of Lanka and the rival of Lord Ram.
