Mirwaiz condemns ongoing Israeli attacks on Palestinians
Srinagar: Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on Palestinians in Gaza despite the declared ceasefire.
According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing the Friday congregation at the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq highlighted the relentless continued killing of innocent civilians, especially children, and the indiscriminate bombing of homes and hospitals in Gaza. He described these actions as a stark reflection of the complete collapse of humanity and morality in the face of such brutality.
Mirwaiz said the people of Palestine, despite unimaginable suffering, remain steadfast and courageous, and that “their pain is our pain, and their struggle is a struggle for all humanity.
Mirwaiz also expressed grave concern over the US’ recent decision to resume nuclear testing after decades, warning that such actions, at a time when the world is already torn by wars and crises, show recklessness and disregard for global peace. He said the need of the hour is not more weapons and wars, but wisdom, justice, and compassion, urging world powers to de-nuclearize, demilitarize, and restore humanity before it is too late.
