US Congress report acknowledges Pakistan’s victory over India in May conflict

Islamabad: The US Congress has formally acknowledeged Pakistan’s victory over India in the four-day conflict that took place in May of this year.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a report by the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission, presented in the US Congress, confirmed that India suffered a significant defeat in the Pakistan-India conflict of May 7. The report highlighted the pivotal role played by Chinese military technology in securing Pakistan’s victory.

The report said that Pakistan utilized Chinese missile systems and advanced technology to shoot down French-made Rafale jets. In addition to the military hardware, the report said, Chinese intelligence also provided critical support to Pakistan during the conflict. The report further noted that India had acknowledged that Pakistan targeted 109 Indian military sites during the war.

In the aftermath of Pakistan’s success, the report also mentioned that Indonesia had canceled its plans to purchase Rafale jets, citing the defeat of India as a factor in diminishing the global reputation of the French-made aircraft.

The report also emphasized that China had expanded its military cooperation with Pakistan in 2024 and 2025. This includes joint exercises, counter-terrorism drills, and participation in Pakistan’s multinational peacekeeping exercises.
