Indian police raid, search Hurriyat members’ houses in Sopore

Srinagar: Indian police personnel carried out raids and searches at several houses of Hurriyat members in Sopore town of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the police raided and searched the houses of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat and Muslim League members, including Zaffar Islam, Lateef Ahmad Kaloo, Mohammad Ashraf Malik, and Farooq Tawheedi, in different areas of the town.

The house raids and search operations were conducted under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The draconian law grants impunity to Indian forces in carrying out human rights violations and atrocities in the disputed territory.
