Mother of journalist Khalid Shabbir passes away in IIOJK
APHC-AJK, Kashmiri community express solidarity with Khalid, Aziz

Islamabad: The mother of Kashmiri journalist Khalid Shabbir passed away this morning at her native village of Kashti Garh in Doda district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, she had been unwell for the past many months and died at a hospital in the district.
The family of Khalid Shabbir has made immense sacrifices in the Kashmir freedom struggle. Khalid Shabbir himself has played an active and dedicated role in the movement and was forced to migrate to Azad Jammu and Kashmir several years ago due to Indian repression.
Meanwhile, a solemn prayer ceremony was held at the APHC-AJK office in Islamabad under the chair of Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi. The participants offered collective condolences on the passing of journalist Khalid Shabbir’s mother, journalist Abdul Aziz’s mother, and Mahajir Camp president Chaudhry Abdul Hameed. Speaking at the event, APHC-AJK Convener Safi reflected on the philosophy of life and death, highlighting that death marks the beginning of a person’s eternal journey before their Creator.
Prayers were offered for the elevation of their ranks, forgiveness, and eternal reward in Jannat-ul-Firdous, as well as patience and strength for their bereaved families. The ceremony also included supplications for all afflicted families residing in Kashmir and Mahajir camps.
The prayer ceremony was attended by APHC General Secretary Advocate Parvez Ahmed, Haji Muhammad Sultan, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqub, Syed Ejaz Rahmani, Raja Shaheen, Zahid Ashraf, Imtiaz Wani, Adeel Mushtaq, Zahoor Ahmed, Umar Butt, Secretary Information Mustaq Ahmed Butt, and other leaders.
The Kashmiri community residing in Rawalpindi and Islamabad also expressed deep sorrow over the passing of mother of Khalid Shabbir and Abdul Aziz.
