APHC-AJK delegation meets Sardar Mir Akbar
holds consultations regarding Right to Self-Determination Day

Bagh: A high-level delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, led by General Secretary Advocate Pervaiz Ahmed Shah, met with Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, central leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Jammu and Kashmir, and Member of Legislative Assembly Azad Kashmir, in Bagh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during the meeting, detailed consultations were held regarding the Right to Self-Determination Day to be celebrated on January 5 and all administrative and organizational aspects of the events and activities to be held on the occasion were discussed.

Sardar Mir Akbar Khan assured full cooperation and leadership role in the Right to Self-Determination Day function and said the right to self-determination is an inalienable and internationally recognized right of the Kashmiris, for which a vigorous and effective struggle will be continued at all levels.

He said the international community has recognized this inalienable right of the Kashmiri people, therefore, it is the need of the hour to ensure its immediate implementation so that lasting peace and stability can be ensured in the South Asian region.

Advocate Pervaiz Ahmed Shah, speaking to the delegation on the occasion, said India is organizing various events by inviting Indian film personalities and other celebrities to mislead the international community about the normalization of the situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said that if the situation is really normal, then what is the reality of the deployment of one million Indian troops in the occupied territory? He said the deployment of lakhs of Indian troops is a clear proof that the situation in the occupied territory continues to be abnormal, oppressive and worrisome.

The delegation included Mayor of Bagh Major (Retd) Sardar Abdul Qayyoom Baig, Abdul Lateef Lone, Hurriyat leader Raja Khadim Hussain Shaheen, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, Zahid Ashraf, Zahid Safi, Abdul Majeed Mir and Sheikh Abdul Majeed.
