APHC-AJK delegation meets Deputy Commissioner Muzaffarabad

Protest progamme for January 26 Black Day discussed

Muzaffarabad: A delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, led by its General Secretary Advocate Parvez Ahmed Shah, met Deputy Commissioner Muzaffarabad, Munir Qureshi.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the meeting held detailed discussions regarding the protest programme planned by the APHC-AJK in Muzaffarabad on January 26, the Indian Republic Day, which will be observed as Black Day, as well as the related administrative arrangements.

The delegation informed the Deputy Commissioner that the purpose of the anti-India protest is to draw the attention of the international community to India’s ongoing serious human rights violations, exploitation of Kashmiris, and political repression in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Deputy Commissioner Munir Qureshi welcomed the delegation and assured them of full cooperation and the provision of all possible facilities for the peaceful conduct of the protest on January 26. He also expressed his commitment to the effective utilization of all available resources to enhance public welfare and improve the performance of the district administration.

Both sides agreed to maintain regular coordination and strengthen mutual cooperation. The APHC-AJK delegation included Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Zahid Ashraf, Syed Gulshan Ahmed, and Mushtaq-ul-Islam.
