NC MP Chowdary Ramzan urges Delhi to honor people’s mandate, restore full statehood to IIOJK

Srinagar: National Conference leader and Indian parliament member, Chowdary Muhammad Ramzan has strongly urged the BJP-led Indian government to respect the democratic mandate of the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and fulfill its promise of restoring full-fledged statehood.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Chowdary Ramzan made the remarks while meeting several public and individual delegations at the party headquarters in Srinagar. The delegations highlighted various civic, developmental, and administrative challenges in their respective areas.

He emphasized that restoring full statehood is not merely a political demand but a democratic and constitutional right of the people of IIOJK. “The people have expressed their will through the ballot. It is imperative that New Delhi honours this mandate and restores statehood without further delay,” he said.

Chowdary Ramzan added that lasting peace, institutional credibility, and meaningful development can only be achieved when democratic rights are fully restored and people are empowered through an elected, full-fledged government.

He assured the delegations that the National Conference will continue to raise the voice of the people at all appropriate forums until the legitimate demand for statehood is realized.
