Jammu and Kashmir was never, and will never be, part of India

Pakistan’s envoy delivers firm response to India at UN Security Council

New York: Pakistan has reiterated at the United Nations Security Council that Jammu and Kashmir was never part of India and will never be.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during a debate on the rule of law, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative Zulfiqar Ali responded to remarks by the Indian envoy, saying that India’s false, baseless, and laughable accusations against Pakistan are part of a long-standing tactic aimed at diverting the international community’s attention from India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.

Zulfiqar Ali emphasized that, under UN Security Council resolutions, Jammu and Kashmir remains a disputed territory, and its final status is yet to be determined. He highlighted that India itself had brought the Kashmir issue to the United Nations but has since consistently refused to honour its international obligations, repeatedly violating international law and Security Council resolutions.

The Pakistani envoy described India’s conduct as a serious affront to the dignity of the Security Council and called for it to be condemned in the strongest terms. He further criticized India for attempting to destabilize the region, stating that it is actively involved in sponsoring terrorism and cannot hide the facts behind its hollow claims.
