Rawalpindi residents rally for Kashmir self-determination, support Yasin Malik

Rawalpindi: A public awareness gathering was held at Press Club Liaqat Bagh, Rawalpindi, on the occasion of Kashmir Self-Determination and Accession Day, under the “Save Yasin Malik Public Outreach Campaign.”

According to Kashmir Media Service, the event was addressed by Ms. Mushaal Hussein Mullick, wife of jailed Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Mohammad Yasin Malik and Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organisation, along with her daughter Raziyah Sultan and sister Sabien Hussein Mullick. They highlighted the ongoing human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu & Kashmir and expressed serious concern over the proposed death sentence of Yasin Malik, urging the international community to take urgent notice.

Following the press interaction, Mullick led a visit to Raja Bazaar as part of campaign to save Yasin Malik and the Kashmir cause. Hundreds of residents, including traders and civil society members, welcomed them with rose petals and slogans, expressing solidarity with the oppressed people of IIOJK.

Protesters raised slogans against Modi’s fascist policies, while chanting support for the Kashmir struggle, Pakistan Zindabad, and Free Yasin Malik.
