Ban on liquor sale in IIOJK demanded

 

Jammu: The activists of Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) here in Jammu today organised a protest rally under the leadership of their president, Sunil Dimple demanding passing of a bill in the ongoing budget session of the Assembly to ban the sale of liquor in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Sunil Dimple addressing the protesters said they will start agitation to get a ban on the sale of liquor in Jammu city as well as at Katra.

He said that after the abrogation of Article 370, the BJP government made liquor policy and opened more than 300 liquor shops to loot the poor people of Jammu. He said that for revenue generation our youth should not be made liquor addicts.

The MSJK leader appealed to all the MLAs of the territory to get united to pass a bill in the Assembly to ban the sale of liquor in Jammu and Kashmir like Indian states of Gujarat, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.
