Elections scheduling done for convenience of BJP: Priyanka Gandhi
New Delhi: Indian Opposition leaders Priyanka Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav have criticized the Election Commission, stating that the assembly election schedule was designed to favor the BJP.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Priyanka Gandhi stated the timing and phases of the elections seem tailored for the ruling party’s convenience.
Akhilesh Yadav claimed administrative changes are made ahead of polls in states not controlled by the BJP, citing the recent removal of West Bengal officials as an example. The Election Commission announced polls for Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Puducherry, with counting on May 4.
