IIOJK: Mirwaiz, Agha Hassan extend Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to Muslim Ummah

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq extended heartfelt Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the Kashmiri people and the entire Muslim Ummah, praying to Allah Almighty to accept their fasts, prayers, and all acts of worship performed during the blessed month of Ramdan.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who was placed under house arrest by Indian authorities in Srinagar today and prevented from attending Friday prayers at the Jamia Masjid, said that while Eid is a day of joy and gratitude, “our happiness remains incomplete as people in Palestine, Iran, and other parts of the Middle East continue to face suffering and loss of lives.”
He also remembered the Kashmiris imprisoned in Indian jails and prayed for their well-being, safety, and early release.
Mirwaiz urged people to celebrate Eid with simplicity in view of the current adverse and distressing circumstances, and appealed to them to remember the poor and needy in their celebrations and keep the entire Ummah in their prayers.
Meanwhile, another senior Hurriyat leader and head of Anjuman Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, also extended Eid greetings to the Muslim Ummah, offering special prayers for peace, stability, and relief for the oppressed people of Palestine, particularly Gaza, as well as humanity affected by ongoing global crises.
He said that this year Eid-ul-Fitr is being observed under extremely sensitive and painful circumstances, with the Muslim world, particularly Iran, grappling with profound grief and tragedy. He added that the sacrifices of leaders, including Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei and others, serve as a powerful reminder of resilience, patience, and steadfastness in the path of truth.
Agha Hassan appealed to the public to express solidarity with Gaza, Palestine, and the Islamic Republic of Iran by wearing black armbands on Eid as a symbol of grief and protest.
