Amir Muqam discusses IIOJK’s current situation with Hurriyat leaders

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam met with the Convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir chapter Ghulam Muhammad Safi and other Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders and discussed in detail the current serious situation and human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir .

According to Kashmir Media Service, Engineer Amir Muqam in the meeting said the unarmed Kashmiri people continue to face oppression and their voices are being suppressed.

He reiterated his resolve that Pakistan would continue to provide moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people.

He called upon the international community to take notice of the human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and play its role in ensuring the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination.

On this occasion, Ghulam Muhammad Safi thanked Pakistan for its continued support and said the Kashmiri people are determined to take their freedom struggle to its logical conclusion.

Hurriyat leaders Mahmood Ahmed Saghar, Shamim Shawl, Dawood Yousafzai, Zahid Safi and Imtiaz Wani were also present in the meeting.
