APHC-AJK condoles demise of mother of Hurriyat leaders Altaf Butt, Zafar Akbar Butt
Islamabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC) chapter has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of the mother of Hurriyat leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Solvation Movement Muhammad Altaf Butt and illegally detained Hurriyat leader Zafar Akbar Butt in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, General Secretary Advocate Pervaiz Ahmed and Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Butt in a joint statement in Islamabad said that the deceased was a woman of great character and lived her life under the principles of piety, patience and service to the people.
They said she not only maintained a dignified family tradition but also played a prominent role in the high moral upbringing of their family.
The statement further said that the sacrifices made by the deceased’s family for the Kashmir freedom movement are a bright chapter in history. Their family is a living example of perseverance, courage and struggle, which raised its voice for the right to self-determination in every difficult moment and bravely faced countless hardships and difficulties, they added.
The APHC-AJK leaders expressed complete solidarity with the bereaved family and maintained that such patient and courageous families are the real assets of the freedom movement, whose sacrifices will never go waste.
They prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the aggrieved family to bear the irreparable loss with patience and fortitude.
Meanwhile, the funeral prayer in absentia of the mother of APHC-AJK leader Altaf Ahmed Butt, led by Convener Ghulam Mohammad Safi, was held in Islamabad.
A large number of political and religious leaders from Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, journalists, civil society representatives, and the Kashmiri community participated in the funeral prayer.
After the funeral prayer, people in large numbers visited the residence of Altaf Ahmed Butt to offer condolences .
They also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give patience and strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
