Mirwaiz condoles loss of lives in Udhampur bus accident

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in a tragic road accident in Udhampur district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a passenger bus rolled down a hillside in Udhampur on Monday, leaving 21 people dead and 29 others injured. The accident sent shockwaves across the territory, with families of the victims plunged into mourning.

“Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives in the Udhampur bus accident. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Praying for the swift recovery of the injured,” Mirwaiz posted on his X handle.

Locals said the accident once again highlighted the poor condition of roads and lack of safety measures in hilly areas of the occupied territory, which have repeatedly caused fatal crashes.

Meanwhile, another senior Hurriyt leader and Anjuman Sharie Shian President Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi also expressed profound grief over the incident. In a statement , he extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, calling it an irreparable loss that has not only devastated the affected families but plunged the entire society into mourning.
