Islamabad: Political experts have termed India the “actual spoiler of peace in the South Asian region since 1947,” warning that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “muscular and undemocratic measures” have intensified threats to regional peace and security manifold.
According to Kashmir Media Service, experts observed that India’s hegemonic designs pose a real threat to regional stability, noting that New Delhi has for decades impeded the way towards a peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute. They said India staged the April 22, 2025, Pahalgam incident to discredit the Kashmir freedom movement and malign Pakistan, while using state terrorism to crush the legitimate quest of the IIOJK people for self-determination.
Political analysts stated that threats to regional peace have intensified since Modi came to power, as his government relies on coercion and unilateralism instead of dialogue. In contrast, experts lauded Pakistan for leading efforts to achieve peace in the region, adding that Islamabad has time and again informed the world about India’s destabilizing role in South Asia.
“It is time for the world to check Indian hegemonic designs to guarantee peace in the region,” one expert remarked, urging the international community to pressurize India to take necessary steps to create an enabling environment for peace in South Asia. They warned that unless New Delhi abandons KMS-18K
