BJP’s war crimes exposed: 40 civilians martyred in Indian missile strikes in May 2025
Rawalpindi : Pakistan has exposed the BJP-led Indian government’s barbaric missile strikes on civilian areas in Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir on May 6-7, 2025, martyring 40 civilians including 7 women and 15 children, and injuring 121 others.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) under Director General Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry laid bare the barbaric reality of India’s reprehensible night assault. Consolidated figures released on 13 May 2025 confirm 40 civilians martyred including 7 women and 15 children and 121 civilians injured, including 10 women and 27 children.
Initial briefings on 7 May reported 26 martyred and 46 injured; numbers rose as rescue and damage assessment progressed. ISPR repeatedly stressed that the strikes deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure, residential areas, homes and places of worship (mosques) rather than any military or militant sites.
India launched unprovoked standoff missile attacks from its airspace, deliberately targeting mosques, homes, and residential areas.
In Ahmedpur East, a mosque strike killed 13, including two three-year-old girls and ten members of one family. In AJK’s Khuiratta, a 40-day-old infant girl and her mother were martyred by shelling. Seven-year-old Irtaza Abbas Turi, son of Lt Col Zaheer Abbas Turi, was among the martyrs.
ISPR said child martyrs’ names were inscribed on retaliatory Al-Fateh missiles as a symbol of resolve. The attacks followed India’s false-flag Pahalgam incident and suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty in April 2025.
Pakistan responded with “Operation Bunyanum Marsoos,” striking only military targets.
The PAF shot down Indian jets, including Rafales, and 93 drones. Global media including BBC, Al Jazeera, Reuters, and CNN visited strike sites, debunking Indian media’s “animated lies” of hitting militant sites.
US President Donald Trump termed India’s actions “shame.”
ISPR said the assaults reflect BJP’s fascist strategy of targeting women, children, and mosques for political gain, while India faces internal revolts in Manipur, Nagaland, and Naxalite zones.
UN experts in November 2025 also raised alarm over Indian counter-terror operations in IIOJK post-Pahalgam, citing torture, custody deaths, and discrimination against Kashmiris and Muslims. Pakistan exercised restraint but proved its deterrence, ISPR said, adding “every drop of innocent Pakistani blood will be avenged.”
