Protest over brutal demolition drive in Jammu, activist among many arrested

Jammu: Indian police used brute force and arrested an activist during a protest march in support of tribal families affected by a the ongoing demolition drive in the name of anti-encroachment campaign by the BJP regime in Jammu city of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest march in support of tribal families affected by a the demolition drive by the LG regime in a forested area on the outskirts of Jammu city spiraled into chaos as protesters were ruthlessly stopped by Indian police and shots were fired in the air, which provoked a clash between protesters and Indian police.
Indian police arrested tribal leader and activist Talib Hussain after a heated exchange with police officials during the protest in support of tribal families. Police fired a shots in the air to disperse the crowd and detained several persons, including activist Talib Hussain.
During the operation, more than 30 residential and business structures were demolished and nearly 60 kanals of land, valued at several crores, were snatched by Indian police from tribals in the Raika Bandi area.
